'Armless fun...

Must be the oldest joke in the joke book but when it comes to a situation such as this, you simply cannot resist!

Flicking through Vogue (yes I know all my inspiration for posts comes from Susie and Vogue but, hey who cares!), I hated (as usual) the more dash than cash shoot, mainly because the shoot was not 'more dash than cash'. I'm sure I've ranted to you about this before but it really gets on my nerves! so anyway came across the shoot, hated it, hated the clothes, then on the last page of the feature there was a tiny section on Armlets, I didn't particularly like the way they were displayed and not a fan of the model used in this shoot either but the only tip I think I've ever seen in a more dash than cash shoot that I've ever taken any notice of (apart from of course the destroyed jeans, but they don't count because they were a tremendous amount of effort!) was the idea to make armlets from cut out tights. I have to say, I didn't quite achieve the look I was hoping for but I hope you get the idea!

If you can see in the top left hand corner of the Vogue page there are some gold armlets that look as if they're made from several gold straps (well basically they are!) anyway these are from a lingerie brand called Bordelle. I have avoided posting about Bordelle befor because alot of their designs are very provocative and this could be perceived as tarty, however, I do not think that this is the effect they are trying to achieve. Today I am posting about them because of their appearance in Vogue and I wanted to show you some pictures from their collection with the armlets in. unfortunately the ones that are shown in the shoot are not there but I found these couple of pairs and I think they would be quite exciting pieces to own, twinning with an evening dress or even for a gorgeous day look, with some fantastic bubble-esque layering!
