Some Place Between Twiggy, Steampunk and My World...

Recently I've been fascinated by the various sub-genres of goth, punk excetera. Mostly after some long discussions on my beloved facebook with a friend who is into 'alternative' and 'goth' fashion. Perhaps my favourite of these styles is steampunk. I have to say that I have never met or even seen someone who would class themselves as steampunk but its something I find wildly exciting because of the fantasy, historical elements. I found this picture on the internet for those of you who dont know what a steampunk is. I particularly like this image because its a red head, admittedly I am a big fan, she has white pale skin (obviously achieved with some sort of makeup but must have been fairly pale skin in the first place to pull it off) like me, however I am largely red from sunburn or laughing too much. And aside from that she is stunning. What more could you ask for.
Twiggy is my other influence today... tehe... my darling best friend bought me a photography book on twiggys modelling career and I have read it several times over... thank you Jamie.... and obviously my makeup is largely influenced by twiggys drawn-on lashes.
A couple of photos I took on my phone to show the twiggy style makeup... I know it meens you can see all the inacuracies of it but thats what I love... I hope you see the perfection of its imperfection too.
can you quite believe this jumping shot is real?? I cant believe how high off the ground, my positioning, my face... everything, something always goes wrong with my jumping shot, but not this one... this time its real.
Not too bad, funny face, not far enough off of the ground, bootlace undone but its okay.
I look like a bird. scarrryyyyy.
H&M Jacket and top, Zara trousers, Primark boots.
Hope you enjoyed my musings yet again. I have delighted in sharing it with you. Steampunks make me really excited.... tehehe... well fashion does to be honest.
I love my blog
Tomorrow x

Well, in terms of today's post I must admit that I love Twiggy, she is wonderful and always will be my favorite. I love her eyelashes and if I had seen the perfection in imperfection and believe me you were super cool, plus the jumps are awesome.
Well, hope you have a nice weekend.
    A big kiss!
    Blessings!

  3. I used to be SO into steampunk, but all the accessories make it an expensive hobby, especially with stuff like corsets.
