And at long last she has worked out how to centralise her images...

Pleats Please!
Bubble was posting the other day about her love of pleats and it reminded me of the wonderful 'pleats please' by Issey Miyake. I am affraid this is going to have to be an extremely short possed because I am imensley annoyed with blogger. so much so I may have to move to wordpress or restart my blog! a shame I know but at the moment It doesn't look like I have much choice, blogger is destroying even very high resolution images and not letting me centralise anything!
So annoyed!
Anyway must get my hands on some gorgeous vintage pleats as obviously Miyake is out of my reach!

Do Something Spontaneous and Creative like a Four Year Old - Just Once!
We decided to have a bit of a sewing competition (don't ask!) but I think the results are almost etsy worthy if given a little more time and sewn to a better quality!

Wild Thing!

Enjoying reliving all my old Vogues at the moment and When I opened May 2009 Vogue I was delighted at what I found! On the 'More Dash Than Cash' shoot there was a shirt very similar to one that I am making! In the 'who wore what' - type page there were two pictures of somebody very exciting at a catwalk show - Susie Bubble (!) so as you all know I am a fan of both so this immediately puts May 2009 Vogue at an advantage but as well as Susie and my shirt, there was a gorgeous shoot of haute couture gowns and a lovely feature called 'the road to Damascus' featuring some fantastic photography and the article was extremely well written! I loved it, and to top itoff there was the above shoot which inspired my look today! Primark dress, Dorothy Perkins Tights, New look silver belt, My mums

All those Antonios!
Discovered This entirely accidentally when searching to look at Antonio Beradis collections which I hadn't seen yet, of whom I'm a massive fan, anyway, on google when you type in a name, lots of other little suggestions come up don't they? Well, I accidentally clicked on Antonio Bernardo instead of Antonio Beradi and look what I discovered. Amazing jewelery!!! I am oh so in love!
I love the way these rings have been presented on the website. I really wanted to copy an animation that is on the site of a ring that is built up with tiny pieces of precious metal jigsaw pieces to put on here, but it didn't work. Obviously I could have print screened but I think you need to go over to the site and check it out for yourself, when you see it you will see why the animation element is so lovely!
This must be one of my favourite pieces on his site, It is so intricate and not brassy as it is so easy for yellow gold jewelery to have this effect. Obviously the painted hand and the light in this photograph really sets it off and having not seen the ring in real life I cannot describe its loveliness in reality but I think this is just a simply stunning ring. I always rant about how much I long for a snaking diamond Van Cleef and Arpels ring (which I shall never have because they would still not seem affordable if you were Bill Gates!) but one can dream. But Van Cleef better watch out because Antonio Bernardo and his stunning little pieces of quirky simplicity are not far behind. Less fussy, but equally as beautiful and unique, certainly a contender for Tomorrow's dream ring!

How Many Hats!?
Blogger hates me at the moment! It's doing all these crazy things and wont let me centralify the things I want to say! Anyway! Oh I'm centralised now! Okay maybe not! I just wanted to share with you some magnificent head wear from talented french designer Jacques le Corre. I have a notebook of designers and things whos work I've liked in a magazine and then I type them into google and usually it's a waste of time but this name was a success.
These spaceagey designs look as though they belong in a design museum rather than on somebody's head but I know there are
some wonderful people on this planet who care less about what others think than me! And these are the people I admire (ahem Susie!)

'Armless fun...

Flicking through Vogue (yes I know all my inspiration for posts comes from Susie and Vogue but, hey who cares!), I hated (as usual) the more dash than cash shoot, mainly because the shoot was not 'more dash than cash'. I'm sure I've ranted to you about this before but it really gets on my nerves! so anyway came across the shoot, hated it, hated the
clothes, then on the last page of the feature there was a tiny section on Armlets, I didn't particularly like the way they were displayed and not a fan of the model used in this shoot either but the only tip I think I've ever seen in a more dash than cash shoot that I've ever taken any notice of (apart from of course the destroyed jeans, but they don't count because they were a tremendous amount of effort!) was the idea to make armlets from cut out tights. I have to say, I didn't quite achieve the look I was hoping for but I hope you get the idea!
If you can see in the top left hand corner of the Vogue page there are some gold armlets that look as if they're made from several gold straps (well basically they are!) anyway these are from a lingerie brand called Bordelle. I have avoided posting about Bordelle befor because alot of their designs are very provocative and this could be perceived as tarty, however, I do not think that this is the effect they are trying to achieve. Today I am posting about them because of their appearance in Vogue and I wanted to show you some pictures from their collection with the armlets in. unfortunately the ones that are shown in the shoot are not there but I found these couple of pairs and I think they would be quite exciting pieces to own, twinning with an evening dress or even for a gorgeous day look, with some fantastic bubble-esque layering!Tomorrow x

Susie Challenge
Not a challenge fan, but there's an exception to every rule. I want to concentrate on having a USP and writing with personality rather than letting others intrude on my style or encouraging me to do something their way rather than my own. Though to be honest Susie inspires me enough as it is that there was no way I was not going to participate, so sad that everything Susie (I'm even considering a fringe [?]) does influences me so much but then she is wonderful!
